Summary Overview
Tri-Valley CUSD #3, in collaboration with BLDD Architects, has embarked on a year long-range facility plan that casts a vision for up to 20 years. The plan is built on three key pillars: long-term planning for PK-4 space, authentic community engagement, and fiscal responsibility to maintain the local tax rate. Below is a summary overview. Refer to the full Tri-Valley Long-Range Facilities Plan for complete details and documentation.
Project Vision
The plan aims to transform the educational environment by:
Establishing a new, modern PK-4 Elementary Campus.
Optimizing grade alignment to a PK-4, 5-8, and 9-12 model.
Enhancing learning spaces for Special Education (SPED), STEM, and collaboration.
Upgrading athletic and support facilities.

Stakeholder Feedback
Key priorities identified by community and staff include:
SPED Dignity: Move SPED services to dedicated spaces.
Elementary Overcrowding: Address overcrowding, especially in Pre-K and Little Vikings programs.
STEM & Collaboration: Increase Maker spaces and robotics opportunities.
Campus Traffic: Improve traffic and parking at ES/MS campus.
Project Phases and Timelines
Near-Term (0-24 Months): Implement "Quick Wins" including MS branding, ADA seating and pathways, and interim SPED suites.
Mid-Term (2-5 Years): Complete Phase 1 projects, including the PK-K Center, grade realignment, and Outdoor Athletic Complex; and Phase 2 projects which will focus on MS improvements.
Long-Term (5-10+ Years): Complete the new PK-4 elementary school and replace Unit Office and transportation buildings.
Priorities: Phases 1 & 2
