So....What's the plan for Tri-Valley next semester?? Dr. Mouser outlines the plan for January and beyond in this link https://bit.ly/3nvrEEA. Building specific information will follow.

The Tri-Valley Speech Team has been very busy this fall! We have βattendedβ 7 virtual tournaments that consist of both video submissions and live zoom competitions. Beginning in October with two early bird tournaments at University High School, the Tri-Valley team had Molly Klessig (HI) place 11th and Charlotte Watson (EXT) place 8th.The following weekend Lauren Christopher (INFO) and Seth Coughlin (IMP) both placed 4th, Kaitlyn Jones (HI)Β placed 3rd and the Duo of Kaitlyn Jones and Anthony Decker placed 1st.Β
November brought 3 tournaments with Seth Coughlin placing 4th at one and 6th at another while Kaitlyn and Anthonyβs duo placing 4th at all 3.
The first meet of December was a gigantic accomplishment for our team! Charlotte Watson placed 3rd, the Duo of Kaitlyn Jones and Anthony Decker took 4th, Lauren Christopher and Kaitlyn Jones each brought home a 5th place and Seth placed 6th in JV. These placements awarded the Tri-Valley Speech Team with a 5th place overall in the limited entry division!!Β
We ended December with Charlotte placing 4th and our Duo (Kaitlyn and Anthony) placing 3rd.
We have many meets to go with Regionals beginning in February.Β These kids are working hard and really doing a great job.Β If anyone would like to join our team- it is never too late.Β Just email Mrs. Marcotte and we can discuss where you would like to participate.
Great Job TV Speech Team-Β I am very proud of you!!!Β

Here we come!!! Reminder: please have donations for the food pantry outside at 2:15. Our busses will head out soon!

Reminder: Downs Food Pantry Pick Up Tomorrow!
As previously e-mailed, Tri-Valley busses will be collecting items for the Downs Food Pantry tomorrow (Thursday, December 10th) after school on our bus routes. Please have all items outside and ready at 2:15 pm. Some of our rural routes will be picking up items as students are dropped off, while some of our busses will be making a second pass between 2:30 and 3:00 pm. We look forward to stocking the food pantry for the Tri-Valley community #togetherTV3. See you tomorrow afternoon.
Tri-Valley Administration

After talking with the Downs Food Pantry, Tri-Valley CUSD #3 has decided to once again run our busses to collect food and household items for those in need. It is important to recognize that our food pantry serves the ENTIRE Tri-Valley school district, and we want to help!
Our amazing transportation department and bus drivers have agreed to run a 2nd afternoon route on Thursday, December 10th to collect goods for the food pantry. After all bus riders are dropped off at home, the busses will return to Tri-Valley, collect teacher and staff volunteers, and then head back out to collect as much as we can for our community in our empty busses. Please leave your donations at each bus stop, or at the end of your drive, and watch for our busses to return to gather all that we can. In fact, feel free to cheer us on (socially distanced and in masks of course).
A few of our rural routes will receive additional information related to donations in the next few days. We look forward to stocking the Downs pantry for our Viking community, and we look forward to seeing you Thursday afternoon.
Items requested by the food pantry have been e-mailed.

Back in school today! Please complete the symptom self check. If anyone in your home is exhibiting symptoms, please keep kids home. We canβt wait to see students today. Go Vikings.

Tri-Valley will resume in person instruction on Monday, December 7th as previously communicated. Though county wide Covid metrics continue to remain concerning, our local metrics have improved dramatically since our remote pause was announced. We are grateful for all of you that have reached out during our remote pause to report any Covid related exposures or illnesses. We ask you to continue to do so.
An email has been sent to all Tri-Valley parents with additional information.

The TVHS Yearbook Staff needs your help! We would love to feature how you remote learn! Please send us your pictures and complete this survey and you could have a chance to be featured in the yearbook!

We have continued to seeΒ increases in positive cases of Covid-19Β and quarantined students and staff over the last few days. Β Our local realities coupled with county metrics have forced us to extend our remote pause through December 7th.Β Tri-Valley will have no in-person instruction between now and December 7th, but will provide remote learning daily.Β Our building principals and teachers will be following up with further information.Β We apologize for the inconvenience, but recognize the need to be cautious in our approach to moving forward while considering the safety of our students and staff.Β We hope to resume a regular schedule on Monday, December 7th.

Remote Pause Lunches are being offered to all enrolled Tri-Valley students. Lunch is free for ALL students for the entire year. By choosing to receive lunch from the Tri-Valley food service department you are helping to create and sustain jobs in our district, and getting healthy food that fuels students for learning! Complete the online form: https://www.tri-valley3.org/remote-learning--30

Remote Pause Monday-Friday November 16-20.

Monday, November 16th will be a remote planning day with no remote instruction. Tuesday-Friday Tri-Valley will be providing remote learning as done on Wednesdays to begin the year.

We appreciate your understanding on this schedule change.

We want to thank you for your continued support of Tri-Valley during these unprecedented times. We are looking forward to opening our buildings to our students for the start of school. However, with the guidelines from ISBE, IDPH and the ongoing construction of our high school, we have decided to not allow any facility reservations for non-school teams and organizations during the first semester. We will look at guidelines in January and send out new communication at that time if we feel it is safe to open to outside groups. We understand this may be an inconvenience to many groups that have used facilities in the past and we hope by letting you know in advance this will allow you the opportunity to find alternate facilities.

A brief update on back to school plans at Tri-Valley was e-mailed this evening and can be found here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mqHPHqfCcuf0WNWU8xikD2opK7UC931u/view?usp=sharing.

A trend is building among Illinois high schools during the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine known as Lights for the Fight.
Schools are turning on their athletic field lights from 8:00 PM to 8:20 PM each Friday night throughout the quarantine as a sign of support for their senior student-athletes, as well as for all the healthcare workers, first responders, and all other essential workers on the frontlines of the pandemic.
Tri-Valley High School will have the lights on at the football field on Friday's in support of this cause.
Thanks,
Tri-Valley Administration

Good Evening Tri-Valley Staff and Families,
Governor Pritzker just issued an executive order that all Illinois schools will be closed beginning March 17th to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Students may return to school on Tuesday, March 31st based on the information weβve been given. There will be no extracurricular activities (contests, practices, games, meetings, etc) until March 31st.
Due to these developments, and out of an abundance of caution, Tri-Valley School District will be utilizing Digital Days all next week, including Monday, March 16th. We will post assignments as weβve done in the past for all digital days. These will be posted on our website and via email. Any students that need to pick up materials or devices from school can do so on Monday, March 16th from 10am-4 pm. Devices will be made available to those that may need them. Please contact building principals if you need to utilize a school device during this time.
In summary:
No school for students March 16th through March 30th.
Assignments will be posted on the District website for March 16th through March 20th, and March 30th.
No assignments will be posted for March 23rd through the 27th due to Spring Break.
We will keep you updated as more information is received.
Stay safe and healthy!
