We are planning to make a change to after school care hours for the upcoming school year. After discussion with administration, we have decided to move the after care hours to 2-4:30 rather than 2-5:30. The reason for the change is to allow our custodial staff plenty of time to deep clean the building in preparation for the safe return of students for the next day. We appreciate your understanding on this schedule change. If you have questions, please contact Tyler Swearingen at the elementary school.

We want to thank you for your continued support of Tri-Valley during these unprecedented times. We are looking forward to opening our buildings to our students for the start of school. However, with the guidelines from ISBE, IDPH and the ongoing construction of our high school, we have decided to not allow any facility reservations for non-school teams and organizations during the first semester. We will look at guidelines in January and send out new communication at that time if we feel it is safe to open to outside groups. We understand this may be an inconvenience to many groups that have used facilities in the past and we hope by letting you know in advance this will allow you the opportunity to find alternate facilities.

Good Evening Tri-Valley Staff and Families, Governor Pritzker just issued an executive order that all Illinois schools will be closed beginning March 17th to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Students may return to school on Tuesday, March 31st based on the information we’ve been given. There will be no extracurricular activities (contests, practices, games, meetings, etc) until March 31st. Due to these developments, and out of an abundance of caution, Tri-Valley School District will be utilizing Digital Days all next week, including Monday, March 16th. We will post assignments as we’ve done in the past for all digital days. These will be posted on our website and via email. Any students that need to pick up materials or devices from school can do so on Monday, March 16th from 10am-4 pm. Devices will be made available to those that may need them. Please contact building principals if you need to utilize a school device during this time. In summary: No school for students March 16th through March 30th. Assignments will be posted on the District website for March 16th through March 20th, and March 30th. No assignments will be posted for March 23rd through the 27th due to Spring Break. We will keep you updated as more information is received. Stay safe and healthy!

This is not only for the safety of our participants but also to help with traffic congestion. We are also asking to please only park in the unit office, high school or middle school (not the front) parking lots. Please no parking on the sides of the roads at the high school, baseball field or leading to the middle school. Floats and other parade entries will need to be able to get through those narrow roads. Immediately following the parade is the Battle of the Bands held in the high school commons. We will end the evening with a pep rally in the high school gym.

Attention Parents of 2018 Graduates! Your student may not be at Tri-Valley any longer but their yearbook sure is! If you ordered a yearbook last year for your student, you may pick them up at anytime during the school day. Only former students or family members of students (mom, dad, brother, etc) may pick up the yearbooks. They will never be given to friends (even family friends). Please contact Rachel Angus (rangus@tri-valley3.org) with questions!

The camp this week is Around the World in 5 Days. Our Little Vikings have “traveled” to Brazil and Australia. They have made Carnival Masks and boomerangs. They have also tried new food that is popular in those countries.

Our first mini camp this summer is underway! Today, the students learned about Vincent Van Gogh. They took a nature walk to look at the different flowers then came back in to make our own sunflowers using chalk.
